Businesses occasionally need to recruit large numbers of staff in a short space of time. In some cases, this could simply be due to the nature of their sector. Firms presiding over large-scale construction projects, for example, might rely on an especially high turnover of shift workers. It could also be a consequence of seasonal factors (think Christmas in particular) or, best of all, a sudden expansion of the business. So, where do you turn when such circumstances arise? How do you source the best quality staff to suit your needs, en masse, at short notice?

Find a trusted supplier

Frontline Recruitment recently teamed up with bedroom delivery and installation company Keen & Able to create 100 jobs in Northampton. The 5-star, uniformed, white-glove service, which was previously based in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, moved to Northants in 2018 after experiencing stellar growth in the space of just 24 months. Keen & Able had already established a relationship with Frontline prior to the move, which was a key factor in their decision to work with us again. Why? Because we have a wealth of sector-specific knowledge and know how to attract the best people. Staff will not just appear magically out of thin air, and certainly not in their hundreds. If you need to recruit big numbers, it’s best to establish a connection with a supplier you can trust to get the job done.

The power of the Open Day

Don’t overlook the benefits of the traditional Open Day. To assist Keen & Able in their search for 100 new staff, Frontline held a special recruitment Open Day at The Hilton in Northampton. Because of our profile and reach, we were able to attract an incredibly high volume of potential candidates to fill the roles. The event was designed to be as streamlined as possible, with the aim being to sign the best people up quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Candidates were simply required to bring their passport or driving license plus their National Insurance number and bank details. This meant that successful individuals could be processed on the spot.

Seek expert advice

It may be the case that your business is experiencing exponential growth. This is, in anyone’s book, cause for optimism. However, new challenges will be cropping up every day, and you may be feeling slightly daunted by the prospect of having to source a large number of new staff who aren’t going to let you down. If this describes you and your business, call Frontline today for a confidential consultation. We tend to find that, if in doubt about any aspect of your recruitment strategy, it makes sense to seek the advice of proven experts.
