Warehouse Operative Sheffield Working Hours

This is a full-time Monday to Friday role working rotating shifts.

Week 1:
6:00am to 3:00pm
Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and 2 paid tea breaks.

Week 2:
1:00pm to 10:00pm
Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and 2 paid tea breaks.

Candidates must be able to work both shift patterns on a rotating basis.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative in Sheffield, you will support the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation, including goods in, goods out, returns, stock control and general warehouse duties.

Duties will include:

• Picking, packing and preparing materials for field installation teams
• Supporting goods in, goods out, returns and stock control
• Assisting with stock organisation and inventory checks
• Maintaining stock accuracy
• Using warehouse systems and basic IT equipment
• Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised
• Supporting continuous improvement within the operation
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily workflow
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting general warehouse, logistics and distribution duties as required

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience would be beneficial
• Experience with picking, packing, goods in, goods out or stock control would be advantageous
• Good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Basic IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems
• Forklift experience would be an advantage but is not essential
• A valid driving licence with no more than 3 points would be beneficial for insurance purposes, although not essential
• Must be able to work rotating AM and PM shifts
