Location: Castlewood Business Park, NG17
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday AM shift
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:30pm

Candidates must be flexible to work rotating AM and PM shifts in the future.

Frontline Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Timber Assembly Operatives to join a leading timber frame manufacturer based at Castlewood Business Park, NG17.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in timber assembly, bench joinery, woodworking, timber manufacturing, production, assembly work, hand tools, power tools or manufacturing operations.

The Role

As a Timber Assembly Operative, you will be working as part of a production team manufacturing timber components and sub-assemblies for a well-established timber frame manufacturer.

Duties will include:

• Manufacturing timber components including inner door frames, inner window frames and timber sub-assemblies
• Working from technical drawings, assembly diagrams and production plans
• Using hand tools, air tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Cutting, shaping and assembling timber components to specification
• Preparing wooden components for semi-automated machine installation
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure high manufacturing standards
• Working closely with machine operators and other production team members
• Maintaining housekeeping standards and keeping work areas clean and safe
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting general production, assembly and manufacturing duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience within bench joinery, woodworking, timber manufacturing, production or assembly would be beneficial
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings or assembly diagrams
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Flexible regarding shift patterns and day-to-day duties
• Own transport or a reliable way to travel to NG17 daily
• Willingness to move onto rotating AM and PM shifts in the future if required
