Frontline Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Leicester (LE4). Key Responsibilities

As a CNC Setter Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating Agathon and Rollomatic CNC grinding machines.
• Working with:
  • Agathon 400 Penta
  • Agathon Combi Plus
  • Rollomatic 630XW (GrindSmart)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Editing and optimising CNC programs using Fanuc/G-code controls where required.
• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections using manual and electronic measuring equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving machine, tooling and material issues to minimise downtime.
• Performing routine machine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Working closely with production teams to improve efficiency, reduce set-up times and optimise manufacturing processes.
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S principles.
• Following company quality procedures, ISO standards and health & safety regulations at all times.

Requirements: 

To be successful in this CNC Setter Operator role, you should have:

• Previous experience as a CNC Setter Operator within a precision engineering or tool manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience operating CNC grinding machines.
• Experience with Agathon and/or Rollomatic CNC machines (highly desirable).
• Experience operating 4-axis and 5-axis CNC grinding machines.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Fanuc/G-code programming and program editing.
• Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
• A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach.
