Frontline Recruitment Weymouth are seeking a Legal Aid Solicitor.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients who cannot afford legal assistance. The candidate should have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as experience working in a legal aid setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients who cannot afford legal assistance.
• Interview clients and gather information about their legal matters.
• Research and analyse legal issues to provide guidance and recommendations.
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as court appearances and negotiations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
• Collaborate with other legal aid organizations and pro bono attorneys.
• Develop and deliver legal education and outreach programs to the community.
• Handle other legal-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal aid setting.
• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, particularly in the area of legal aid.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Salary dependent on experience.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5:15pm
