HOURS: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Friday
SALARY: Starting from £38,000 per annum

THE ROLE

As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the depot’s operational efficiency, safety, inventory integrity, and team performance. You’ll lead from the front — ensuring seamless processing, accurate fulfilment, and timely delivery of all customer orders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, motivating, and developing the warehouse and driving team
• Managing recruitment, inductions, and ongoing staff performance
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and UK road transport regulations
• Overseeing inventory accuracy, replenishment schedules, and order fulfilment
• Planning and scheduling delivery routes to ensure efficient logistics
• Managing the company’s fleet and vehicle maintenance schedules
• Acting as the main contact for customer queries and ensuring top-level service
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised warehouse environment

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management (experience in the building materials or timber/sheet sector is advantageous)
• A full UK driving licence and valid forklift operator certification
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety compliance (CDM, PUWER, LOLER)
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems for inventory and logistics management
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
