We’re looking for a hands-on Manual Machinist to join our client’s busy engineering team in Melbourne, Derbyshire.
If you enjoy working with manual machines and want to develop into a Tooling Engineer, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll be part of a supportive team where you’ll gain experience in press tool maintenance, manual machining, and precision engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and maintain manual machines, including:
• Jones & Shipman Grinder
• Bridgeport Turret Mill
• Manual Lathe
• Assist with the setup and repair of press tools
• Carry out precision machining and tool maintenance tasks
• Maintain high safety and quality standards across all work

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Experience operating manual mills, grinders, or lathes
• Previous work in a mechanical or engineering workshop
• Practical, hands-on approach and good attention to detail

Preferred:

• Knowledge of press tools or toolmaking
• Experience with Jones & Shipman or Bridgeport machines
