Frontline Recruitment are recruiting Cargo Warehouse Operatives to join a busy airport cargo operation at East Midlands Airport.

This is a great opportunity for reliable, hard-working individuals looking for a hands-on warehouse role in a fast-paced aviation and logistics environment. You will be part of a team that helps keep airport cargo moving safely and efficiently every day.

Previous warehouse or cargo experience is useful, but not essential, as full training is provided.

The Role

As a Cargo Warehouse Operative, you will support the loading, unloading, sorting and scanning of freight and parcels within a secure airport warehouse environment.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy practical work, staying active and working as part of a team in a busy operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Loading and unloading freight from lorries and aircraft containers.
• Sorting parcels and cargo on a busy warehouse sorting line.
• Handling items weighing up to 20 – 25kg.
• Using handheld scanners to track and record shipments.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and security at all times.
• Moving cargo safely and efficiently through the warehouse.
• Following site procedures in a secure aviation environment.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.

Shift Patterns

Flexible shift patterns are available across a 7-day operation.

Example shifts include:

• 06:00 – 15:00
• 15:00 – 00:00

Applicants should be flexible and willing to work as part of a rota.

Pay and Benefits

You will receive:

• £13.00 – £13.25 per hour. (£14.00 for a Team Leader / Supervisor)
• Weekly pay – Friday each week
• Full training provided.
• No previous airport experience required.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A 5-year checkable work or education history from 2021 to present.
• Ability to complete a criminal record check.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• A strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to complete training.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties, including lifting parcels and freight up to 20 – 25kg.

The cost of the criminal record check will be reimbursed after 4 weeks – This is a requirement for this position.
