A nationwide recruitment agency is experiencing unprecedented demand for its services after revealing a 27 per cent increase in the amount of new candidates it has placed in jobs during the first quarter of 2014.

Frontline Recruitment placed a remarkable 487 new jobseekers in roles during the first free months of the year – a result which, says Tony Wilmot, co-founder of the company – shows that the economy is on track again.

“This huge rise in new placements means two things: that employers are still ‘trying before they buy before employing jobseekers on temporary contracts; and that employees are now trying harder than ever to impress employers so that they can land themselves permanent positions.”

The rise in placements has come as no surprise to Frontline Recruitment, which predicted an upturn in the jobs market in 2014 after posting record results for its year ending 31st October 2013.

The recruitment specialists saw turnover rise by an impressive 36 per cent to £12.25m for the 12 months to 31st October, with profit up 45 per cent year on year.

“Our clients are becoming more and more confident. We noticed late last year that the construction and manufacturing sectors were leading the way by taking the plunge and hiring new staff before other industries.

These new figures show that other sectors are following suit, which is very encouraging news. We’d urge anyone looking to grow their business in the new climate of confidence to contact us.”

Frontline Recruitment is now looking at breaking its 2013 record after such a stellar start to 2014.

“To be nearly one third ahead of 2013 after just three months is testament to the hard work, industry knowledge and commitment of our team in responding to our clients’ staffing needs,” adds Tony. “We’re striving for record results again this year, and this is a fantastic start.”
