Pay & Hours

• £14.42 per hour
• 40 hours per week
• Working any 5 days from 7
• 06:00 AM starts
• Full-time and part-time opportunities available

The Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver / Class 2 Driver, you will play an important role in ensuring customer deliveries are completed safely and on time. Furthermore, you’ll represent the business by delivering excellent customer service on every route.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely operating a 7.5T or Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to customers’ homes.
• Planning and following efficient delivery routes to ensure deliveries arrive on schedule.
• Loading and unloading goods safely. Where required, you’ll also carry out light assembly work, although full training will be provided.
• Communicating professionally and courteously with customers at every delivery.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects promptly.
• Following all road traffic laws, Driver Hours Regulations and company health and safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• A valid 7.5T (C1) or Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence, held for at least 12 months due to insurance requirements.
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A flexible and reliable approach to work.
• The ability to work independently. However, you’ll also be comfortable working as part of a wider team.
• A good level of physical fitness, as the role involves lifting, loading and unloading goods.
• Appropriate PPE, which should be worn at all times.
