We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, deployable Engineered System Solutions (ESS) supporting the MOD, Home Office, and international clients.

This is more than a delivery role — it’s an opportunity to take ownership of high-value, operationally critical programmes that directly support defence and security operations worldwide.

If you thrive in high-accountability environments, enjoy working with multi-disciplined technical teams, and are confident engaging senior defence stakeholders, this role offers both challenge and reward.

The Role

You will take full lifecycle responsibility for multiple ESS projects — ensuring safe, compliant, on-time and on-budget delivery.

This is a visible leadership role requiring strong commercial awareness, technical understanding, and the ability to influence and build trust at senior levels within government and defence organisations.

You will:

  • Own project performance from mobilisation through to completion
  • Lead electrical, mechanical and technical teams in complex operational environments
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and delegated authority
  • Develop robust risk registers, KPIs and executive dashboards
  • Engage confidently with MOD, Home Office and international defence stakeholders
  • Produce structured MS Project plans and high-quality reporting
  • Support new business opportunities and bid activity
  • Champion continuous improvement, efficiency and cost optimisation
  • Coach and develop project team capability

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a confident, technically credible Project Manager with a proven track record in defence or government projects.

You will bring:

  • Recognised Project Management qualification (APM preferred)
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (C&G minimum or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering defence or government contracts
  • Experience managing MOD, Home Office or international military stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial control capability
  • Advanced planning and programme management skills
  • Ability to influence through structured business cases
  • A proactive mindset focused on operational excellence

We offer:

  • High-profile international project exposure
  • Genuine ownership and leadership responsibility
  • A technically driven, collaborative environment
  • Career progression within a growing specialist engineering organisation
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • 25 days annual leave + BH
  • 37.5-hour working week
  • Competitive salary + Excellent Benefits
  • Private Medical Insurance (BUPA)
  • Life Cover (3.5x salary)
  • Pension Plan
  • Salary sacrifice schemes (eBike & electric vehicle)
  • Wellbeing and lifestyle platforms

If you are commercially astute, technically strong, and motivated to deliver complex international defence projects to the highest standards — we would like to hear from you.

Apply today to be part of a team delivering engineered solutions where performance, precision and accountability matter.
