We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to play a key role in monthly management accounts preparation, IFRS 15 revenue recognition, cashflow forecasting, variance analysis, financial compliance and stakeholder reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys business partnering, influencing stakeholders, and embedding best-practice financial processes within a project-based engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts
• Delivery of timely forecasting and financial reporting to key stakeholders
• Revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15 (long-term project accounting)
• Cashflow forecasting, monitoring and risk identification
• Supporting and challenging non-finance managers with financial insight
• Championing finance processes, compliance and strong financial controls
• Ensuring adherence to financial policies and reporting standards
• Producing ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
• Monitoring and validating financial data integrity

About You

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified (QBE considered)
• Minimum 4 years’ accounting experience
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing or project-based environments
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 and long-term contract accounting
• Confident communicator, able to “translate” finance for non-finance stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, adaptable and keen to develop and improve finance processes
• Positive and collaborative approach
