ROLE: Procurement Officer
LOCATION: Leicester
HOURS: Monday to Friday
PAY: £31,000 – £33,000 per annum

Frontline Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider within the food manufacturing sector, who are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their dynamic and growing team in Leicester.

THE ROLE

• Manage the procurement of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and services required for continuous production
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply
• Negotiate contracts, agreements, and lead times with existing and new suppliers
• Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and work closely with production and planning teams
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality
• Ensure compliance with company policies, auditing standards, and food safety regulations
• Analyse purchasing data, prepare reports, and support operational improvements
• Investigate and resolve supply challenges, shortages, or discrepancies

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in procurement, ideally within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Confident working with data, spreadsheets, and stock management systems
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness
