JOB TITLE: Sustainable Products Manager – Remote (UK-Based)
LOCATION: Remote – United Kingdom
HOURS: Ideally full-time (38 hours/week), Monday to Friday.
Flexible to 4 days/week if preferred.
WORKING PATTERN: UK hours with an emphasis on afternoon availability for collaboration with US-based teams
DURATION: 6-month contract (potential to extend based on business needs)
START DATE: ASAP
PAY: £30 – £35 per hour (gross, depending on experience)

Frontline Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our global life sciences client for a Sustainable Products Manager (Contractor) to support and lead initiatives across their product sustainability and customer engagement programs.

THE ROLE

  • Execute a product life-cycle assessment (LCA) pilot project, coordinating cross-functional teams and identifying areas for process improvement
  • Manage the Environmentally Preferable Products program – including supplier engagement, reviewing submissions, and maintaining promotional resources and data platforms
  • Support internal commercial and sales teams with customer-facing sustainability messaging and materials
  • Lead or facilitate product certifications including ACT labels and other sustainability credentials
  • Act as a subject matter expert in sustainable design for internal R&D, Sourcing, Packaging, and Product teams
  • Develop and deliver tools, resources, and training to help commercial and sourcing teams identify and promote more sustainable products and services

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in environmental science, sustainability, green chemistry, product design, or a related field
  • Proven experience with life cycle thinking and ecodesign principles in a commercial/business environment
  • Strong cross-functional project experience and ability to work in a matrixed global organisation
  • Previous experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or health industries is advantageous
  • Familiarity with LCA tools and cradle-to-gate sustainability approaches is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across different cultures and time zones
