Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of all warehouse activities, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and team leadership. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and materials handling processes.

Duties

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Manage inventory levels through effective stocking practices and regular audits.
• Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading of goods.
• Implement and maintain a warehouse management system (WMS) to optimise efficiency.
• Coordinate the picking and packing of orders to ensure timely dispatch.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff in best practices for materials handling and equipment operation.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring proper mechanical knowledge is applied for repairs and upkeep.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse management role with a strong background in logistics.
• Familiarity with forklift operation and relevant certifications is essential.
• Experience with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques, including heavy lifting protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory management.
