Our client is an international business and seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer.

You will be responsible for mechanical design engineering tasks to include;

Generate technical documents including proposals and statement of works.
Drafting technical documents including proposals and statements of work.
Production of engineering drawings and specifications
Assessment of estimates / cost reports.
Preparing and reviewing manufacturing documentation packages.
Procurement, including quotation requests & order placement.
Production of bills of materials.
Assisting with bid work
Liaison with suppliers and manufacturers.
Participation in design review meetings, internal and external.

Qualifications Required:

Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in a design and development environment.
Previous experience of integration of multiple services advantageous.

Experience required:

Must be proficient in the use of Solidworks (or similar software package), AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of BS/ISO Standards.
Good technical understanding of engineering principles.
Good written and verbal communication.
Creative problem solver with an analytical approach to implementation.
Be self-motivated and proactive in progressing deliverables required for assigned projects.

The role will be subject to UK Security Clearence.
